Driving growth through travel essentials and in North America
Our Air business is the largest part of WHSmith North America and is made up of our Travel Essentials business and InMotion. We're focused on delivering key products customers need on their journeys through major airports across the market. Travel Essentials is the largest and fastest growing part of our Air business, and where we see significant opportunities for growth through new store openings and product category development.
A diverse portfolio across airports
We serve customers a wide range of products through a diverse portfolio of stores in major airport hubs across North America, from, food & beverage, news, gifts and local souvenirs to travel accessories under the unique and distinct brands such as District Market, Flight Stop, Lick, Marshall Rousso and Root & Branch.
We also operate an extensive array of franchised stores including Tom Ford, Lego and Harley Davidson, that feature and highlight the local culture, community, and lifestyle of the cities in which they are located.
Powering every journey
Alongside Travel Essentials, InMotion is the additional part of our Air business. A leading global tech accessories retail brand, InMotion is the largest airport-based electronics retailer in travel locations globally and operates over 120 stores across North America. With access and insight into the latest technologies for business and leisure travellers, InMotion serves customers' needs for any adventure, offering the excitement of a first-class customer experience through lifestyle products, electronics and travel accessories.
Alongside Air, our North America business also operates a small number of resorts centred primarily around Las Vegas.
North America future outlook
We remain excited about the significant opportunity for growth in North America and have a strong store pipeline. We see an opportunity to increase margin with our strongest margin stores retained, range optimisation and strengthened operational performance.
